Philosophy of care
We believe that every resident has the right to retain his or her individuality and independence at whatever level.
We will promote these rights and enable the continuation of choice and facilitate decision making to ensure they remain in control of their lives.
We will endeavour at all times to work with the residents, their families, friends and members of the community multi-disciplinary team to ensure decisions made will maintain these rights.
We will continue to protect these rights when for whatever reason a resident becomes unable to make informed choices for themselves.
We will maintain and promote the privacy and dignity of our residents. We will ensure the care provided is individual, appropriate and regularly assessed.
