Philosophy of care

  • We believe that every resident has the right to retain his or her individuality and independence at whatever level.
  • We will promote these rights and enable the continuation of choice and facilitate decision making to ensure they remain in control of their lives.
  • We will endeavour at all times to work with the residents, their families, friends and members of the community multi-disciplinary team to ensure decisions made will maintain these rights.
  • We will continue to protect these rights when for whatever reason a resident becomes unable to make informed choices for themselves.
  • We will maintain and promote the privacy and dignity of our residents. We will ensure the care provided is individual, appropriate and regularly assessed.
