Our reputation as one of the best nursing homes in Devon has spread to the North of England and as far away as Canada! Our matron has over 20 years service as a nurse and along with her team of dedicated nurses and care assistants ensures that our quality and standards of nursing care are something that others strive to achieve.
Each resident has an individual care plan, these are written by our RGN’S in consultation with residents and their families. The care plans are used by all care staff to ensure that residents are cared for in the way they would like. Also included in our care plans are hobbies, interests, likes, dislikes as well as information about family, friends and treasured memories thus ensuring we offer a truly holistic approach to meeting a persons care needs.
We encourage every resident to remain as independent as possible.
During the day to day work practices, staff will carry out visual evaluations and report any changes to the senior staff thus ensuring that any change in a residents condition is acted upon quickly with the care plans being constantly updated to provide the most up to date information.

Care Needs
A Registered Nurse is on duty at all times they will assess and carry out any immediate care required if a resident become suddenly ill / injured according to their duty of care.

Previous hobbies and activities are encouraged. Newspapers, magazines and periodicals will be obtained on request. There is a small reading library and a selection of games and videos for the use of all.
